Unit of Competency:	BSBOHS501B Participate in the coordination and maintenance of a systematic approach to managing OHS & BSBOHS503B Assist in the design and development of OHS participative arrangements Completion of this course contributes towards the Diploma of OHS (BSB51307).
Course Overview:	This course provides the underpinning knowledge and skills to effectively participate in the development, coordination and maintenance of a systematic approach to managing occupational health and safety (OHS) in the workplace through the organisations OHS Management System. At the end of the course participants will have an overview on how to develop an OHS Management System to meet certification or accreditation requirements against the Australian Standards AS/NZS4804:2001.
Pre-requisites:	It is recommended that participants wishing to attend the course should have either:- Certificate IV in OHS and/or Current OHS Industry experience (at supervisor/ manager/ consultant level)
Assessment:	To gain the statement of attainment, participants will need to complete an external assessment activity.
